Target Audience

Target Audience

We started by mapping all of the stakeholders in home upkeep - a list which includes architects, contractors, structural engineers, the government, plumbers, and apartment tenants. However, we chose to focus on the perspectives of people who suffer the most from leaky pipes - property owners. Property owners can be divided into two segments: homeowners (who live in the single family homes they own or mortgage) and landlords (property managers for apartments). The US is home to 79.36 million homes, 65% of which are lived in by the actual owners. In the shared living landscape, America has 22.7 million units in 16.7 million properties owned by “mom and pop” individual investors. We summarized the goals and frustrations of these two common groups.
